Intersteam has been Canada’s first and best supplier of steam-based systems for cleaning and sanitizing, concrete, railcar and municipal applications since 1997.
It all started when two credit executives decided to branch out and search for an amazing opportunity to start a business. At Interclean in Amsterdam in 1996 the plan was put into action and Intersteam began its journey to becoming the leading supplier to forward thinking customers across Canada.
Then the ground-breaking started – capturing the endorsement and attention of TDL Group, Silver Group Purchasing and others in Infection Control, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Food Service and Hospitality. Our industry leading equipment was featured in the Canadian Journal of Infection Control, the PIDAC Best Practices Document, Sanitation Canada and local news stories. Featured in the Hamilton Spectator, founder Manfred Dietrich proved the simplicity and efficacy of the system cleaning chewing gum off the city sidewalks in a three-piece suit – providing the “Cure for Hamilton’s Gum Disease”.

In 2005/2009 Manfred’s daughter and son-in-law because successors to the business and helped to grow their specialty markets, with Elle focusing on dry steam systems for healthcare and hospitality and Sean developing the industrial markets of concrete production and railcar heating while servicing manufacturing and production facilities as well.
